As a nation, we prepare to memorialize the 25th anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001. In this present time, our nation and our world are in much need of peace. Please join us for a Holy Hour with a Rosary for Peace and to pray for the souls of all those who perished in this tragedy as well as their families who continue to grieve.

God of love we place in your loving arms the thousands of innocent lives that were lost on that unforgettable morning of September 11, 2001. We also remember the courage of the countless men and women who put their lives at risk in order to rescue, alleviate and bring solace to the afflicted. Help us to continue to work for a world free from every form of hatred, violence and ignorance. May terrorism -- in all its forms -- disappear from the face of the earth.

I would like to thank all who have contributed their Time, Talent and Treasure as we created the CHILDREN’S LIBRARY for St. John the Evangelist Church.The LENDING LIBRARY RESOURCE will be a treasure for the children, parents, grandparents and all who want to build their knowledge of God a nd our faith. The books can be signed out for a week or two and returned. The books for the oldest children are the on the highest shelf.
