The Parish Social Ministry works together to organize and offer a variety of activities focused on bringing people together to share conversation, companionship and smiles. St. John the Evangelist always keeps our names sake at our core. We want to “EVANGELIZE” and grow the community. Our Social Committee prayerfully focuses on creating opportunities for all to experience the Good News of Jesus in every human situation. You can join the team that plans and facilitates Parish Events throughout the year such as:
- Advent and Lenten Retreats
- Breakfast with SantaÂ
- Coffee Hours
- ConcertsÂ
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Parish Pilgrimages
- Parish Picnics
- Octoberfest
- Soup Suppers
Our ministry wants to build a welcoming community for all, no matter where they are in their faith journey. Evangelization is easy … simply make a friend, be a friend and then as trust is built between you and others, take that friend to Christ as you share with them your personal witness as to what led you to Christ. We create opportunities for people to share their faith stories in our parish in a non-judgmental environment and invite people to worship in our faith community.
